More road trip highlights! We traveled 2,500+ mile More road trip highlights! We traveled 2,500+ miles along the west coast. 2 weeks, 3 states, 2 destinations, and lots in between.

Now we're both ready to not be in the car for a while and get some space apart 😄. Nothing like arguing over directions for two weeks with your sibling!

No trip to Seattle is complete without a little rain and a visit to Pike Place Market.

The mountain came out to say hello.

A sample of all the amazing food we ate on this trip. The PNW has some phenomenal food. After a couple weeks of indulging, we're really excited to get back into home cooking. DM us for food recommendations in Seattle and Portland!

Enjoying the sunset.

Our first night in Seattle. We were both so happy to be out of the car for a bit.

For two southern Californians who are surrounded by very different trees most of the time, we were both so excited to get back into PNW forests. Literally a breath of fresh air.

Rachel drinking Rachel's ginger beer.

Missing the trees and waterfalls already.

If you're in Portland and looking for good food and drinks in a sort of speakeasy atmosphere, check out Scotch Lodge.

Cool place and definitely worth a revisit next time we're in town.

"Uniquely me [us]" playing around at Hopscotch Portland.

Another great meal and random find.

Obligatory waterfall selfie.

Switching up our usual food photography for pictures of nature. We got some great shots, but we were also trying to be present and enjoy being there. Reminder to take pictures, but also not let it stand in the way of experiencing a place.

We used to visit the Seattle area every summer as kids. So we stopped by one of our favorite spots: a bridge that goes over railroad tracks and takes you out to the beach on the other side. Still special after all these years.
After some very last-minute planning, we set out o After some very last-minute planning, we set out on a sister road trip from Southern California to Seattle.

Road trip snacks were packed. A mix of sweet and savory. Mostly shelf stable items, and cheese sticks in the cooler.

Scenes from the road. Everything from SoCal palm trees to NorCal mountains through Shasta, and pine trees in Oregon and Washington.

State welcome signs are always exciting. California is so big that making it to new states felt so good!

Calamari on a sunny day in Seattle.

Amazing views over the sound.

Pastries and mochas, obviously with whipped cream.

Some of the amazing food we've had so far. Salmon, clams, poutine, and more.

Sunset ☀️

More to come!
We love breakfast burritos, but have you tried a b We love breakfast burritos, but have you tried a breakfast quesadilla? They're easy, cheesy, and great for lazy weekends. We like to fill ours with eggs, bacon, cheese, and hashbrown patties. Dunk them in guacamole, sour cream, and your favorite salsa for a super delicious way to start the day.

Get the recipe on our blog (link in profile), or DM us to have the link sent to you. Happy weekend!
If Cobb salad is on the menu, at least one of us i If Cobb salad is on the menu, at least one of us is going to be ordering it. Or we make it ourselves! The combo of super fresh and healthy produce with lots of protein and a tangy vinaigrette is just so good. Plus our own twist: crunchy bacon flavored croutons for balance and texture. This California classic is a big salad that even non-salad eaters will love.

What you'll need to make it at home:
- lettuce
- hard boiled eggs
- bacon
- rotisserie chicken
- cherry tomatoes
- blue cheese
- avocado
- green onion
- cubed bread for croutons
- dressing = basil + olive oil + lemon + honey + mustard + S&P

Easy turkey burgers, just 5 ingredients in the pat Easy turkey burgers, just 5 ingredients in the patties (plus salt and pepper).

Add on your favorite burger toppings and you're set. They're super juicy and flavorful and excellent for weeknight dinners. Or make a batch and eat them throughout the week.
