Strawberry Cheesecake Dip
This Strawberry Cheesecake Dip is sweet, a little tangy, and super fruity. It tastes like a big slice of no-bake strawberry cheesecake.
This dip is great for Valentine’s or Galentine’s (or Palentine’s!) Day treat! This is the perfect treat to share with your friends and those you love.
We love enjoying this dip with fresh strawberries for extra berry deliciousness. It’s also excellent with cookies or chocolate biscotti.
Dips for Dinner (or Dessert)!
There is an episode of the Hulu series “Only Murders in the Building” where Martin Short’s character states, “You know, this is all I eat — dips for dinner.” When we watched that episode, we felt “seen.” We love dips and have even had dips for dinner on occasion.
With this Strawberry Cheesecake Dip, we think “dips for dessert” should become a thing!
Ingredients in the Strawberry Cheesecake Dip
This fruity cheesecake dip is not only delicious, but it’s also super easy to make. Here is what you’ll need do make this strawberry cheesecake dip:
- Cream cheese – we recommend using full fat cream cheese for the best flavor.
- Sour cream – sour cream gives this dip an even tangier taste, which enhances the strawberry notes.
- Powdered (confectioners) sugar – this provides the sweetness in the dip. While you can sift your powdered sugar for a smoother dip texture, it’s not necessary.
- Heavy whipping cream – make sure to use heavy whipping cream because you’ll need to whip it up with the cream cheese.
- Vanilla extract – we love the subtle flavor that this gives to the dip.
- Freeze dried strawberries – this is one of our favorite ingredients to add to desserts. We grind/blitz these up in a food processor until they become a powder, and then add that to the dip for maximum berry flavor.
- Fresh strawberries – for even more strawberry taste, we like to add some diced fresh strawberries to the dip.
How to Make This Strawberry Cheesecake Dip
To make this dip, you first need to grind the freeze dried strawberries so that they become a fine powder. We like to do this in a food processor for best results. Optional: strain the powdered berries through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds.
Whip the cream cheese, sour cream, and heavy whipping cream together with a stand mixer or electric beater until the mixture is soft and fully combined.
Mix in the vanilla extract and the powdered strawberries, then fold in the fresh diced strawberries.
Serve this dip with extra, whole strawberries or other fruit, biscotti, cookies, or your favorite dippers.
