Toasted Sesame Soy Dressing

This dressing is savory, nutty, and a little sweet. It's easy to make and better than any store-bought version!

Equipment

  • Immersion blender (or a regular blender would work too)

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • ¼ cup neutral oil, such as grapeseed
  • 1 ½ tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  • To make the dressing, place all the ingredients except sesame seeds into a high-sided container. Using an immersion blender, blend the ingredients until emulsified.
  • Taste for seasoning. If needed, add a small pinch of salt. Stir in the sesame seeds and pour dressing over salads or use in marinades for chicken, tofu, pork, or your protein of choice.
