Ingredients

Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 8 oz white chocolate , chopped
  • 15 oz canned pumpkin puree
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • Dash of freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup, optional

Whipped Cream

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar

Instructions

Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate

  • In a large pot over medium-low heat, whisk the milk and pumpkin puree together so that the puree blends with the milk. Be careful not to let the milk boil or it’ll scald.
  • Once the milk and pumpkin mixture is warmed through (about 3-4 minutes), add the white chocolate, spices, and salt and whisk until the white chocolate has fully melted into the milk mixture and the spices have flavored the drink.
  • Add the vanilla and stir until fully combined. If you want to boost the sweetness and nuttiness of the hot chocolate, you can add 1 tbsp of maple syrup.
  • Serve with a dollop of whipped cream on top (see instructions below).

Whipped Cream

  • Using an electric (handheld) beater, whip the heavy cream in a bowl until it starts to become light and fluffy.
  • Add the sugar and whip until soft peaks are formed. Be careful not to overwhip.
